Weekly Tip: My Favorite Healthy Breakfast
I've been reading a lot lately about nutrition and how it impacts our energy. You see, my energy level and those of my children always seem to be inversely proportionate. When they are high energy, I want to sit alone in a dark room. When they are low energy...well, that never happens.
I'm no nutrition guru, but I've started taking small steps that have made a big difference. Two of those steps are drinking a lot of water first thing to rehydrate my body. And I've also been steering away from cereal, my old staple, in the morning and focusing on protein and greens.
Here is my favorite new breakfast burrito recipe that is SO handy. I'll make 30 or so of these and freeze them and I have a super quick, super healthy breakfast always available. I use low carb tortillas, egg whites and turkey sausage. I also really pack in the spinach. Even my kids like them!
